Matryoshka jewellery

I love little quirky folk-y things.  One of the cute attributes of Russian culture is obviously the Matryoshka doll which has been a popular inspiration for a some jewellery designers.  I instantly fell in love with this ring by Natasha Noir as the top part of the ring actually comes off to reveal a little Matryoshka underneath.  Surprisingly, Swarovski's new collection also features a pendant and a bracelet with a sparkly Russian doll charm.  And by the way, I don't know which genius has branded the Russian dolls as "Babushka" dolls, but that's completely and utterly wrong! Babushka translates as "grandmother" from Russian and has nothing to do with the traditional wooden delights! It's Matryoshka people, Matryoshka!

Miaw.
